Would love to know more about the actual career of Ms Menon. Seems like Vishal has done more interviews than Ms Menon. Her biggest curse is the arrogant vibe, which can't be relabeled as assertive, independent or intelligent. Humble opinion.

This means people are getting personal while raising issues. There are others issues that are concerning in Telugu cinema like female lead representation from native girls, pay parity, safety and security of female actors, casting couch etc. I hope that people in power rise and support issues not as a response but after observing and treat every film equally. I dont understand how people glorify Sanju, PK, DDLJ but counter other films from different industry. I am just asking for non biased opinion

What RGv says makes sense . Awards and trophies should be given to sports teams and players not actors. There is no yard stick or method to compare performance of two actors acting in two different roles.

You spoke about "baby" movie and said how some fans were whistling and cheering... movie grossed more than 100 crores... there are crores of telugu people in AP and TS. Different people react differently. Don't blame the cinema for that. Especially in the Baby movie, the director did not portray the movie with that perspective... I agree that there are many mainstream movies which are misogynistic in its nature.... but you just generalize and bash everything...see criticism is not the problem... I want it to come.. I want people to realize and vote for good cinema... But by criticizing the work of this industry so much, you are in a way undermining what they have done right. Telugu cinema is beyond that. Different kinds of movies are made here. There are many movies where women were respected, where there is no misogyny. Lets take a mainstream movie only. "Bhagvanth Kesari" featured by Balakrishna and Sreeleela - the movie was about women empowerment and women dignity... what I am trying to say is people should not see this in black and white just like how the journalist in the video has seen it. I am not interested in any comparison but for that matter I can show many tamil and Hindi films which have misogynistic episodes... Don't defame the industry with half truth arguments. Ones who watch telugu movies can decided it for themselves.. But others will be influenced by your propaganda... thats my request.
